What is a cryptoquote?
A cryptoquote is a cryptogram made from a quotation. Every letter of the quote, and usually of the author’s name, is replaced with another letter. The same code letter always means the same real letter. Newspapers have printed puzzles like this for many years, often with one letter given as a clue, just like here.
Cryptoquote or cryptogram?
Cryptogram is the general name for any text in a letter-swap code. A cryptoquote is a cryptogram where the text is a quote. All puzzles on cryptograms.app are cryptoquotes. This page has its own daily quote, different from the daily cryptogram, so you get two each day.
